Go Jason!

Who the hell is Jason?

Well, Jason is more precisely Jason-2 or Ocean Surface Topography Mission (OSTM). It is a satellite with several instruments on board performing a technique called satellite altimetry. Basically, the satellite measures the sea surface height and gives us invaluable information about the sea level.

Solar Pencil Jets

Pencil Jet

Hinodes x-ray instrument observed a coronal hole located around the south pole of the Sun. There, the magnetic configuration is strikingly different than the usual complex structure seen in coronal active regions: instead of an entangled jumble of loops, most of the magnetic field lines are nicely ordered, shooting straightly away from the Sun. These are called open field lines (though at some point they will bend and come back to the Sun). In the image, the jet is seen as a very thin and straight pencil beam.

Looking at you, kid

And I don't like what I see.

This account is a disgrace to SU. I wonder why SU management allow this kind of crystal clear harassment of a single member.

It is clearly a breach of the SU rules. I guess the rules are only randomly applied. I'd hate to see SU develop along the lines of this account, though.

And it's not even funny or elegantly presented, the harassment I mean.

My father is an identical twin, so I know all about how much one individual can be identical to another and at the same time very different...

Same thing with stars!
