- Probability Curve: Asteroid Impacts

There are a number of objects in the universe that could hit the Earth - and that would be devastating. It all depends on the size of the object of course.
NASA has a program Near Earth Objects that keeps an eye on space rocks. They are very careful not to publish any number that convey the real probability of impact, presumably because we know too little.

From a website dedicated to one possible impact: 99942 Apophis 2004 MN4
Apophis is an asteroid which may strike Earth in 2036, according to NASA. It looks like we have to wait more than 28 years for this one ;-)
Here is one attempt to calculate the probability of impacts. If I find more reliable calculations I will post it later.
